The XVI International Economic Forum ‘Russia — Islamic World: KAZANFORUM’ was held in Kazan from 13 to 18 May 2025. One of the main decorations of the exhibition was the booth of Mir Business Banking Group, inspired by Islamic and Persian architectural elements.
For four years, Mir Business Banking Group has been successfully demonstrating its achievements at forums held in Kazan. The Group unites such companies as: MB Bank JSC, Miras Financial Company Limited Liability Company, Mir Business Club Limited Liability Company, and Miran Insurance Company Limited Liability Company.
The forum and Mir Business Banking Group’s booth attracted many high-ranking guests, including Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, and Talia Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the three days of the exhibition, the group’s booth hosted important meetings with high-level delegates. Among them were Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, Mr Hossein Bahari, Chairman of Bank Melli Iran, Davoud Mirzakhani, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan, as well as the Governor of the Astrakhan region and delegations from the Republics of Ingushetia and Dagestan, as well as numerous entrepreneurs and business owners.
A particularly important event of the Forum for Miras FC LLC was the ceremonial awarding of the Decision of the Ulema Council on the permissibility of the Qard al-Hasan product by Mr Kamil Hazrat Samigullin, Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan. This fatwa was handed over to Mr Hossein Bahari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC BANK MELLI IRAN (the largest national Islamic bank in Iran and the Middle East, shareholder of Mir Business Bank). This event emphasises the importance of Islamic financial instruments in today’s economic context.
In addition, within the framework of the forum a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mr M.E. Khazzar, General Director of MB Bank JSC, and Emiz LLC in the field of financing under Islamic banking standards the construction of an important for the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan plant for the production of soft drinks supplied by the company not only in the Russian Federation, but also in other countries.
The results of the forum were very significant, opening new opportunities for cooperation between the companies of Mir Business Banking Group and their interested partners, as well as once again showed the demand and success of the group’s companies in the market.
